Harald Zapp
His perspective is shaped by more than four decades at the intersection of technology, entrepreneurship and investment.
His career began during the personal computer and internet revolution, with executive roles at leading U.S. technology companies including Wang Laboratories, Ungermann-Bass, SynOptics and Cisco Systems. He later moved deeper into AI and data-driven technologies at Empolis/Attensity.
In 2013, he founded relayr, building the Industrial IoT company into a global business before its $300 million acquisition by Munich Re in 2018. He subsequently founded Next Big Thing, a Berlin-based venture studio creating technology companies across IoT, AI, blockchain and the Machine Economy.
Today, Harald serves in selected supervisory board and advisory roles, contributing his experience to strategy, governance and long-term value creation.
